BEIJING: China’s first indigenously constructed passenger plane C919 is scheduled to make its maiden industrial flight on Sunday, a media record stated on Friday.
State-owned China Eastern Airlines (CEA), the preliminary buyer, will release the airplane’s first industrial flight on May 28 from Shanghai to Beijing, state-run CGTN TV reported.
The C919 is evolved by means of the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), and it used to be granted a kind certificates by means of the Civil Aviation Administration of China closing September.
CEA performed a 100-hour verification flight for its first C919 plane on December 26, 2022, to ensure and make sure the plane’s operational protection.
So some distance, over 1,200 C919 jetliners had been ordered, in step with COMAC.
According to estimates, China had 6,795 civil plane in 2020, most commonly that of boeing and Airbus.
Officials say the access of Chinese plane may scale back the reliance on Boeing and Airbus and may pose a contest to them within the world civil aviation marketplace.
