Ayodhya, Jan 19: The first look of the brand new idol of Lord Ram, with the face coated with a white fabric, has been revealed.
The 51-inch idol has been sculpted by Mysuru-based artist Arun Yogiraj.
The idol was positioned in Ayodhya’s Ram Janmabhoomi temple on Thursday, days forward of the grand consecration ceremony on January 22.
The first photograph of the idol — made in black stone — depicts the deity as a five-year-old youngster in a standing posture.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the January 22 ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony on the Ram temple, which is predicted to be opened to the general public the following day.
‘Pran Pratishtha’ means imbibing the idol with divine consciousness and is a should for each idol that’s worshiped in a temple.
The Prime Minister has urged the general public to not go to Ayodhya on January 22 as “we might not prefer to trigger any issues to Lord Ram,” including that everybody can come from January 23.
More than 11,000 company have been invited by the temple belief they usually embrace cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, and veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan.
