The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday forecast squally climate with robust floor winds over North Bay of Bengal and adjacent spaces within the central Bay of Bengal area and has warned fishermen to not mission into deep waters. The Met division stated mild to average rainfall with remoted heavy to very heavy rainfall is most likely in different portions of Odisha over the following 48 hours underneath the affect of a low-pressure space which has shaped over the Northwest Bay of Bengal.

The IMD in a unique bulletin stated: Under the affect of low strain, squally climate with robust floor winds attaining 40 to 50 kmph is more likely to succeed over North Bay of Bengal and adjacent central Bay of Bengal until July 25 and over alongside Odisha coast all over July 23 and 25. Fishermen were urged to not mission off Odisha coast until Sunday. Those in deep sea spaces were urged to go back to the coast through Thursday night time, it stated. Light to average or thundershower came about at maximum puts over the districts of Odisha on Thursday, with Paradip receiving heavy rainfall of 64 mm between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm, it added.

Meanwhile, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) PK Jena in a letter to the entire creditors requested to stay vigilant to the placement and stay ready to satisfy any water logging/localised flood like state of affairs together with city spaces. Jena additionally advised the district government take measures to dewatering the low-lying spaces.
