López lined the 4.8km path positioned at Devil’s Den State Park in a profitable time of 8:48 mins, beating runner-up Riley Sheehan (Denver Disruptors) by means of 10 seconds and third-placed Kyle Murphy (L39ION of Los Angeles) by means of 25 seconds .
López’ level victory bumped him up two spots and into the full race lead forward of Sheehan by means of six seconds. Leader into the level, Tyler Stites (Project Echelon Racing) dropped to 3rd general, at 29 seconds again.
The twisty 4.8-kilometer uphill path with a mean grade of five p.c used to be difficult for lots of within the 113-rider box. “It’s in reality tricky. It’s at all times converting gradients and switchbacks, laborious to tempo,” said Stites.

The Joe Martin Stage Race concludes on Sunday with a criterium in Fayetteville, happening on a technical 1.2-mile path with an uphill phase resulting in the beginning/end line.
